Jean-Claude Kabongo

Artist/Designer

Originally from Mbuji-Mayi, Congo, Jean-Claude first picked up a pen at the tender age of ten. He began honing his sketching skills during his free time, later moving into the medium of paint. After high school, he studied Architecture D'intérieur at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Jean-Claude then moved to America where he know resides in Denver, Colorado. He studied Architecture Design at Arapahoe Community College and received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Industrial Design from Metropolitan State University.

 

Jean-Claude is a well versed artist and designer with extensive experience in traditional fine arts, shoe design, graphic design, and product design. He is consistently involved in freelance projects ranging from paint and sketch design, logo design, and graphic design.  Some of his clients include; Too Loud Productions, Colors Of V, Fluid Lounge, Afro-Pride, and JP Designs. Jean-Claude is also an active participant in numerous design competitions, including Nike, Dick's Sporting Goods, Shred, Primed, For Dawgs, Skate/More Dress Cool, and many more. In 2012 he was a finalist designer for the Pensole: Future of Footwear competiton by Nike.
